During the spring, summer of 2006 I spent time around the Holland Marsh in Ontario Canada. My goal was to collect a group of black and white photographs related to the area which I call "Life on The Canal". The Holland Marsh, which has a large Canal running through it, is a farming area cornered between King Township and Newmarket Ontario. It's northern boarder is the town of Bradford. The land is quite flat and hosts a variety of vegetable and floral farms. I enjoyed the warmest reception from the people who live in the area and I have talked with many people who own, or work on the local farms. The stories and history of the area are compelling to say the least. If you are reading this after we have met on the Marsh, thank you for allowing me to take photographs of your farm and it's operations.
