Life on the Canal

 During the spring, summer of 2006 I spent time around the Holland Marsh in Ontario Canada.
My goal was to collect a group of black and white photographs related to the area which I call "Life on The Canal". The Holland Marsh, which has large Canal running through it, is a farming area cornered between King Township and Newmarket Ontario. It's northern boarder is the town of Bradford. The land is quite flat and hosts a variety of vegetable and floral farms. I enjoyed the warmest reception from the people who live in the area and I have talked with many people who own, or work on the local farms. The stories and history of the area are compelling to say the least.
